Why BRICC?

The Facts

Despite a significant rise in inclusion training, research shows that these programs are not leading to actual action, and women’s day-to-day experiences remain largely unchanged compared to a decade ago. At today’s pace, we are decades away from gender parity in Corporate America & beyond—double that for Black, Asian, or Latina women. BRICC turns that data into action.

The Precipice

As women’s intention and attention toward their careers shift—seeking purpose, flexibility, and ownership, women are re-defining what self-actualization means and it’s deeply personal. BRICC is poised to support this pivot. We are a community built by disruptors, for disruptors, turning systemic slowdowns into momentum.

  • Mental Health

    Only about half of women describe their mental health as good, and only four in 10 feel they are truly able to "switch off" from their professional responsibilities

  • Double-Duty Tax

    Women, particularly those living with partners, continue to carry the greatest level of responsibility at home, managing everything from childcare and cleaning to household finances and shopping

  • Gender Perception Gap

    There is a distinct disconnect in how progress is viewed; men are notably more optimistic than women regarding the progress of gender equality both in the workplace and at home

Meet Toluwa

Toluwa is a business major at USC with a minor in Cinematic Arts and now in her third year with BRICC. She led communications research through our Branding & Social Media Accelerator and later the Aux Wellness. Today, she interns at a talent agency and assists at a production company—continuing her journey in storytelling and strategy.

With every role, she’s building bold narratives that connect, inspire, and mobilize.

Meet Victoria

Victoria is a digital media tech artist and art director with a passion for 3D, VFX, and immersive storytelling. A BRICC member since 2021, she has thrived as both mentee and mentor. Most recently, she led a summer accelerator where she guided three mentees in designing a Web3 mentorship prototype for BRICC—complete with video game wireframes and storyboards.

Now backpacking through Europe, Victoria is on a mission to expand the worlds of technical art and gaming—one digital frontier at a time.

Meet Anna

Anna is a senior at DePaul University majoring in Graphic Design and a proud BRICC alum. She first joined our Branding & Social Media Accelerator, then applied her skills. designing visual content for The Aux Wellness. On campus, Anna co-managed DePaul’s Student Success Instagram, creating content that connected students to vital resources.

From campus to community impact, Anna’s work reflects the power of design with purpose.
