Professional, Yet Fashionable
Aren’t you tired of wearing the same old stuff to work? Try to switch it up a little and elevate your office outfits. Not every clothing item you wear to work has to fit the general norm.
You can still look gorgeous and be in the dress code your job requires but in style.
Style your outfits to fit your personality. Whether that’s wearing a sleek satin button-down top with dress pants, a pants suit, or your go-to top & bottoms to make you feel more confident.
If you love being fashionable but still professional like me (at times), keep reading. Girl, I got you!
Faux Leather
Maybe you have a pair of those trendy faux leather pants that are exploding all over the internet right now. Those would be a great item to pair with a printed sweater, printed or bright top layered under a button-down shirt and tucked in or left open and flowing for more comfort.
Satin/Silk
I’m a sucker for anything satin or silk. Blouses, dresses, button-downs; you name it. Satin blouses pair so well with dress pants, throw on a nice belt, some loafers, or flats; that’s how I’d step into the office. Don’t forget accessories. Sometimes it’s the little details that make an outfit perfect.
Bold Prints & Colors
Other than the typical red, black, white, or blue, reach for bold colors and prints in your closet. Fuschia, gold, purple, burgundy, or bright yellow are all great colors to start incorporating in your office attire. Gingham print, tweed, floral print, animal print, plaid, polka dots are all great ways to play with prints and patterns in your wardrobe.
Jumpsuits are still in style and thriving! There are a variety of jumpsuits available all over the place. Nothing beats a pinstripe jumpsuit or a jumpsuit that is a bold color with gold buttons.
Layers
Layering pieces of your outfit is another way of elevating your office looks. Say you have on a plain white long sleeve bodysuit, you can layer that with a brown or colorful vest. That would be so cute!
Unique Thrift Finds
Not every clothing item you buy has to be brand new. I’ve found a lot of business casual and business-related pieces at the local thrift store. There are always a variety of prints and patterns in thrift stores that you have to be sure not to overlook. I love thrifting and it’s good for the environment.
You can also thrift online! Such a cool aspect for me because sometimes the local thrift stores don’t have what you’re looking for specifically, which is why I love Thredup. Thredup is an amazing online thrifting & consignment site where you can search for exactly what you need. There are always tons of blazers, pants, printed blouses, etc. on there for such great discounted prices. I also have a discount link for $10 off your first purchase with ThredUP CLICK HERE FOR $10.
