Helping women make their wildest dreams is what sets the foundation at The BRICC Foundry. So, it’s no surprise to see BRICC’s Chief Community Officer, Lauren Satterfield, and Executive Director, Kenyada Brice, debuted two book launches in May.

Everyone has a presence, and it's time to find out where yours shows up. As humans, we experience numerous unleveled playing fields in many areas of our lives. Factors we are exposed to play a role in opportunities, such as race, socio-economic status, where we’re born, our cultural upbringings, and others. An authentic presence enables us to attract people, create opportunities, and open doors that were previously shut. It allows us to move into new spaces with authority. Lauren aims to combat the systemic and cultural challenges that she faces daily. Satterfield has a decade of experience in the telecommunications, technology, and internet industries, including experience working at the largest communications company in the world.
In 2018, Lauren founded The BRICC Foundry in direct response to the staggering underrepresentation and uneven playing field that affects women in business, start-ups, and technology spaces. BRICC cultivates success and power in minority women by pursuing knowledge, mentorship, and professional development, inspiring them to pursue their career and life goals despite present-day obstacles. In developing the i-RACE strategy, Satterfield has successfully implemented how to unlock one's true presence and the power of intention and transformation through continuous learning.

The Adventures of Princeton by Kenyada Brice

Kenyada Brice was born in Mansfield, Ohio, in 1982. She enlisted in the United States Navy in 2003 and proudly served her country for eight years before obtaining an honorable discharge. While serving in the military, she traveled the world, volunteered at countless food banks, read at schools, and even created groups to help serve Christmas dinners at local Virginia churches. During her time in North Carolina, Kenyada spent two successful years doing Socks for Seniors.
She received her bachelor’s degree in public relations & marketing from Ashford University in 2015 and her graduate degree in organizational leadership from Waldorf University in 2018. She currently resides in Dayton, Ohio, with her husband, son, and pup. Stay tuned for more adventures inspired by her son Princeton.
