The BRICC Foundry is Growing With Google

The BRICC Foundry is partnering with Google to offer Google Career Certificates to provide job seekers with access to in-demand skills through job training without the need for a college degree or prior experience in the fields of data analytics, IT support, project management, or user experience (UX) design. 

BRICC is offering Google Career Certificate scholarships to qualifying women starting this September 2022. 

These certificates are taught and developed by Google employees with decades of experience in these fields and are hands-on, practical, and rigorous. Learners can earn a certificate in three-to-six months part-time. 

Awardees will participate in a mentorship accelerator program hosted by BRICC to ensure success in the program which includes a portfolio-building project (to be announced soon) & career support services during and after program completion.

What is the Google Career Certificate Program?

We’re excited to work with Google and be able to offer scholarships for the Google Career Certificate program. Together, we will prepare you for high-paying jobs in the fast-growing fields of data analytics, user experience (UX) design, project management, and IT support. 

Google Career Certificates are flexible online training programs that teach job-ready skills in the high-growth fields of data analytics, digital marketing & e-commerce, IT support, project management, and user experience (UX) design. Google employees with decades of experience in these fields develop and teach certificates. Each certificate includes 150+ assessments as well as hands-on experience so learners have the necessary skills to be successful on the job, and all content is industry-vetted. The certificates are 100% online, and on-demand, and are typically completed in 3 to 6 months part-time (5-10 hours per week).

Google has created a consortium of 150+ top employers that have signed on to hire certificate graduates. 75% of Google Career Certificate Graduates report an improvement in their career within 6 months of certificate completion (Program graduate survey responses, U.S., 2021)

Since its launch in 2017, Grow with Google has trained 6 million Americans in digital skills and has helped nearly 170,000 Americans get new jobs and increase their income. And through a network of more than 7,500 partner organizations - including local libraries, schools, and nonprofits—more people across the country have access to Grow with Google’s online tools and flexible programs.

How is BRICC involved?

The BRICC Foundry is a non-profit organization delivering high-caliber mentorship and development for women to directly combat disparity, amplify their bold voices, and propel their unconventional paths to success – especially women of color. We are proud to announce our Grow with Google Scholarships for qualifying women professionals. The Grow with Google scholarship gives women who either want a career change and are interested in tech jobs or women who did not have the opportunity to obtain a certificate due to life reasons. Grow with Google offers women the opportunity to obtain a certification that can either be the start of a new career or just the change they are looking for. 

Scholarship awardees will attend monthly meet-ups and workshops to support their learning objectives and career growth.
